Acres Of Crops As Floors

One could easily envision a more complex structure to farming, where one could by technology design a "housing complex" for plants and crops of any nature for production of food.

These would have mirrored sun-input from the sides towards the ceiling above down onto the crops below in each floor.

This could be a solution for overpopulated areas to introduce more local production of food.
